Location 1: Instow
My husband and I have been coming here each year to visit a very good friend and her little boy. We found so much beauty in this waterside village. It offers a long stretch of golden sand when the tide is out; and when the tide is in, we watch the world go by while wind and kite surfers enjoying its wonder and dinghy journeying along the estuary. This is the first Moon Water photoshoot location and we will definitely come back.
Location 2: The Glorious Oyster
Captivated with its vibrant hues of blues, this is the best beach food shack we have ever been in Devon. It is located behind the sand hills, a perfect stop after a walk to Instow beach for an artisan coffee or handmade lollies. Moon Water photographer (my husband Gavin) and his little assistant Luke service for the day are paid with refreshing ice cream.
Location 3: Lynmouth
There is something distinctly Alpine in this village’s appearance that I love. Just like the romantic poet, Robert Southey who travelled North Devon, he remarked Lynmouth as England’s Little Switzerland. The rolling of the sea mist added drama on our early arrival. I found a spot to savour this moment and discovered the first inspiration to photograph our gingham bag.
And the 17th-century bridge is too beautiful to give a miss.
